Every ad is reviewed before it runs, against our own rules and Meta's advertising policies. Some kinds of ads carry extra rules that depend on the country your audience is in, which is what this page lists. Meta reviews every ad against its own policies as well, and can refuse one under them, so nothing here promises that a particular ad will run.
Everywhere
Wherever your audience is, we can't take ads in these categories:
- Jobs and hiring
- Loans, credit, insurance, investments, and cryptocurrency
- Gambling and betting
- Dating
- Alcohol
- Tobacco and vaping
- Politics, elections, and social issues
Your message itself can be written in English, Spanish, or French.
United States
For an audience in the US, these are refused as well:
- Housing and real estate, such as a room, a flat, or a house to rent or to sell
Mexico
For an audience in Mexico, only the rules above apply.
